A few weeks ago we ran a workshop on practical things you can do to prepare for GDPR. As it proved to be popular I thought it might be useful to share the slides from the event. This should give an overview of the discussion.

We are looking at opportunities to run this again so if you have a group of people that might be interested in finding out how GDPR is likely to affect you then please get in touch.

If you’re pressed for time then these are my top three things to do now:

  1. Make a data protection policy for your organisation and get it adopted at board level
  2. Audit the data that you collect and understand why you collect it
  3. Review how you get consent and how transparent you are with why you need data

In the majority of cases, these three simple steps will ensure you are employing good practice.
